Downtown Melbourne at Island Root Kava Bar Every Thursday

  • Address: 1900 Municipal Lane, Melbourne, FL, 32901
  • When: Every Thursday at 6:30PM
  • Description: Weekly four to five round Swiss tournament at Island Root Kava Bar (we usually play outside).  Ten dollar buy-in. Prizes consist of a combination of cash and gift cards that can be used at the venue. May or may not be rated, depending on if we have enough USCF members.

Friendly games at the Cocoa Library on Sundays!

  • Where: The Cocoa Library (Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library), 308 Forrest Ave., Cocoa, Florida 32922 
  • When: Sunday afternoons, starting at 1:00 PM and ending usually around 5:00 PM.
  • Free and open to all. For additional information contact the Cocoa library directly (321-633-1792 - ask for the reference desk).

  • RSK Chess Academy LLC formed to empower kids and chess lovers to learn and strengthen their skills in the great game of chess!
  • You can do individual or group lessons with Sureshkumar Rajamani, board member of the Space Coast Chess Foundation and Expert rated chess player!

  • Located in downtown Melbourne. Main time for chess used to be Saturday afternoon 1-4 PM, but it appears that chess players are welcome anytime. 
  • There is no point of contact for this group, but a handful of intermediate to advanced level players gather to play some games there. We do not recommend this event for newer chess players.
