Scholastic Chess Returning to Brevard County

Updated April 27, 2022. With the permanent closure of our Scholastics chess partner, the Space Coast Scholastic Chess Club, due to COVID-19, there has been no organized Scholastics chess in Brevard County for the past two years.

The Space Coast Chess Foundation is seeking to fill the void.

Our plan to offer a shortened scholastics chess tournament series on chess.com for the latter portion 2021-2022 school year did not have sufficient player/parent interest. 

Our goal is to restart in-person scholastic chess for the 2022-2023 school year. Updated information will be posted when available.
